Final Spread

My final spread uses images from magazines.I love doing this type of contrasting spread,black and white on one page,with just a touch of the colours that are on the adjacent page.

Fabric spread in BB

Now this was fun to do!I cut several pieces of fabric to create a garden background.The figures were an ebay fabric iron on find,although I used glue...they're so cute! The wooden fencing was came in a long strip,but was easy to snip to size,crafters pick did the job of adhering to book.

I can almost hear the girls gossiping.lol.

Board Book RR

I bought a childrens collection of small board books and decided to use them with my friends for a RR.

My theme is In the Garden,which had to be shown on the cover...so using artististic licence,became Le Jardin!

I cut out a window,painted cover with Adirondack Citrus acrylic,over white gesso base,as it's such a fresh bright green.The window,a transparency of a garden scene was attached onto a green backing paper and attached with dst to inside cover.Front trim of self adheshive flowers and a curtain shaped from velvet paper.

Long absence!

I've not done anything with this Blog for months...well,since I started it !! So now going to make a concerned effort..lol!

Baboushka art doll

This doll took ages...and many copies of doll parts,to enable me to fit fabric to card.She's pretty self explanetary... various cotton fabrics glued onto card base,felt around face,cork pedestal feet,gel pens for face,and embellishments on neck and in hand. I just think she's cute!

One pretty scary lady! This jointed doll was enhanced..lol...with parts of a silk sunflower,the rough cut leaves for her modesty skirt,and what looks like her bikini top,although not my intention..it was just decoration around waist! still,does look cute with red diamantes...are flower parts...although I've never seen a green flower!! Her exaggerated lips are simply a heart shaped brad....her fancy boots are painted feet with fringed fibre to give illusion of fancy boots.
